MARCHAND DEMO REEL from STEVE MARCHAND on Vimeo.
Marchand Media decided to look back at video animations for television that were done in a 4x3 format. It’s really nice to have extra room
on the current 16x9 format. For design purposes it really gives you a lot more flexibility.
This is a wide angled Colored version of the Honeymooners set.
This is the full data base of the Honeymooners set. Each piece of furniture was carefully crafted to matched the old press photographs of the original series. Texturing and lighting were also critical in the completion of this final project.
In a classic Honeymooner’s episode, Ralph Kramden throw’s his Mother-in-law out of his house. I re-created this scene using a 3d set positioned with the same camera angle of the original shot. I used Maxon’s Cinema 4d for the new set in the background and then cut-out the actors in Adobe Photoshop, color corrected the scene to get the same black & white tones. Notice the entire screen is now 16x9 as opposed to 4x3.
Colorado’s Lady was composited in Adobe Photoshop. The face was constructed as a 3d database in Cinema 4d. The clouds were shot on a recent trip to Southern Colorado.

TIMES SQUARE MM from STEVE MARCHAND on Vimeo.
After completing the US OPEN TENNIS ANIMATION we extracted the TIMES SQUARE portion of the animation and are using it to show the real complexity of our Times Square model built entirely in Cinema 4d R13.

The US OPEN 2012 was created for the USTA, this past summer. The client used an animation we created for the past five years and decided it was time to update the look this year. The direction that was given to us was to try and get a “world feel” for the animation.
We came up with the concept of using the Unisphere, in Flushing Meadow Park, directly across from the US TENNIS CENTER.
The three Grand Slam events were depicted, graphically, on the Unisphere, the camera then zooms off the globe, through Monument Park, where the US OPEN is played. The animation was a great success, and our clients were extremely happy with the finished product.
